Two UNESCO World Heritage Sites — One Trip

Cape Tribulation is the only place on Earth where the Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef exist side by side.

About This Tour

Are you ready to explore both the Atherton Tablelands and Cape Tribulation on Uncle Brian's legendary 2 Day Best of Both Worlds Tour? Join "Gus the Wonder Bus" on a journey through some of the most spectacular natural landscapes on the planet.

Your accommodation offers dormitory style rooms (private room upgrades available) at On The Wallaby Eco Lodge in Yungaburra on the Atherton Tablelands. Enjoy all meals and Australia's one & only night canoeing trip on Lake Tinaroo — an experience unlike anything else.

Day 2 takes you to Cape Tribulation, the only place on Earth where two UNESCO World Heritage sites meet — the ancient Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef. The rainforest tumbles right down to the beach, and it's as jaw-dropping in person as it sounds.

Itinerary

Day 1 — Atherton Tablelands: Fun, Falls & Rainforest

You are invited to join "Gus the Wonder Bus" on a journey through this spectacular area, swimming in pristine waterfalls and crater lakes.

Babinda Boulders: Ancient rainforest, the oldest living history museum in the world. Short walk, talk and a swim in crystal clear mountain water — AMAZING!

Josephine Falls: A three-stage rainforest waterfall with the most awesome swimming hole in Australia!

Tea House: "I can't tell you too much but, we take our food very seriously and you will not be disappointed!"

Milla Milla Falls: Are you ready to swim behind a 30-metre (100-foot) waterfall? If not, let Uncle Brian's help take you there.

Lake Eacham: A volcanic crater lake over 60 metres deep, created by underground pressure that eventually erupted and left a large crater.

Platypus spotting (Apr–Oct): You get to say "Hello" to one of the world's cutest creatures!

Overnight at On The Wallaby Eco Lodge — with an after dinner night canoe on Lake Tinaroo. Includes Lunch and Dinner.

Day 2 — Cape Tribulation: Where the Rainforest Meets the Reef

Make your way to Cape Tribulation — the only place on Earth where two UNESCO World Heritage sites exist side by side: the ancient Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef. Day 2 includes all meals, the croc cruise on the mighty Daintree River, rainforest walks, a swim in our private swimming hole tucked in the rainforest, and beach walks before heading back to Cairns.

Daintree River Crocodile Cruise: Spot saltwater crocodiles in their natural habitat on the famous Daintree River.

Port Douglas & 4 Mile Beach: Take in one of Queensland's most beautiful beaches.
