Terms & Conditions

The rules of the road for planning and booking with us.

Last updated: 10 September 2026

These terms apply when you use traveltoaus.com, ask us for an itinerary or quote, or book anything through us. Please read them before you book. If anything isn't clear, message Rob and he'll explain it in plain English.

1. Who we are

Travel2Aus ("we", "us", "our") is a trip-planning and booking service for travel in Australia, focused on the East Coast. We're a small team led by Rob, and you can reach us at rob@traveltoaus.com or on WhatsApp.

In these terms, "you" means the person using the website or making a booking, and everyone travelling on that booking. If you book for other people, you confirm that they've agreed to these terms and that you'll pass on the booking details to them. You need to be 18 or over to make a booking.

2. Our role: we arrange, operators deliver

We don't run tours, boats, flights, accommodation or vehicles ourselves. Every experience you book through us is delivered by an independent operator, such as a sailing company, dive operator or rental company.

When you book, your contract for that experience is with the operator, and the operator's own terms apply alongside these ones. If the two ever disagree about how the experience itself is run, the operator's terms apply.

Operators pay us a commission when you book through us. That's how our planning help stays free.

3. Free itineraries and advice

4. Booking tours and activities

When we book a tour or activity for you:

Please check your confirmation as soon as it arrives and tell us within 24 hours if something is wrong, such as a misspelled name or the wrong date. Some operators ask you to confirm your pickup time with them before the trip. Where that applies, it's shown in your confirmation.

5. Campervan and car hire

If we arrange a campervan or hire car for you, it's supplied by an independent rental company.

6. Custom trips we arrange for you

If Rob books a multi-part trip for you, for example tours, transport and accommodation together, we'll send you a written summary before anything is booked. It will show:

Your trip is confirmed once you've accepted the summary, paid what's due, and received a confirmation for each booking.

7. Prices and payment

8. If you need to change or cancel

9. If an operator cancels or changes your trip

Operators sometimes cancel or change trips for safety reasons, usually weather or sea conditions. That decision is theirs, and it's made to keep you safe.

If an operator cancels, you'll be offered another date, a similar alternative, or a refund for that part of your trip, in line with the operator's terms. We'll help you choose and rearrange the rest of your plans where we can.

We can't cover other costs a cancellation causes, such as extra nights or new flights. Good travel insurance is the best protection for those.

10. Your safety and fitness

Many of the trips we sell are active: diving, snorkelling, skydiving, sailing and 4WD driving. Before you book:

An operator can refuse to take someone, or remove them from a trip, if they're unsafe, affected by alcohol or drugs, or putting others at risk. If that happens, a refund may not be available.

11. Before you travel

12. Our responsibility to you

We'll take reasonable care when planning and booking your trip, and we'll give you information that's accurate as far as we know. Operators are responsible for how their trips, vehicles and services are run, including safety on the day.

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for loss or damage caused by an operator, or for indirect losses such as missed connections. Where our liability can't be excluded, it's limited to supplying the service again or refunding what you paid for it.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or under the consumer laws of the country where you live, that can't lawfully be excluded.

13. Complaints

If something goes wrong on a trip, please tell the operator straight away so they have a chance to fix it. Then let us know at rob@traveltoaus.com. We'll reply within 5 business days and work with the operator to try to put it right.

14. Using this website

15. Privacy and cookies

How we handle your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy, and how we use cookies is explained in our Cookie Policy.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you make a booking is the one that applies to that booking.

17. Governing law

Queensland law applies to these terms, and the courts of Queensland can hear any dispute about them. If you're a consumer, you can also bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live, and you keep any protections its consumer laws give you.
