What we collect, why we need it, and the choices you have.

Last updated: 10 September 2026

This policy explains what personal information Travel2Aus collects, why we need it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We only collect what we need to plan and book your trip, and we never sell your information.

1. Who's responsible for your information

Travel2Aus runs traveltoaus.com and is responsible for the personal information collected through it and through our planning and booking services. If you have any questions, email rob@traveltoaus.com.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. If you're in the UK or the European Union, we also follow the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, and we act as the "controller" of your information.

3. How we use it

For travellers in the UK and EU, the legal basis for each use is shown in brackets.

4. Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it with advertisers.

5. Storing information outside your country

We and our providers store information in Australia, the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States. If you're in the UK or EU and your information leaves that area, we rely on recognised safeguards, such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect it.

6. How long we keep it

After that, we delete or anonymise it.

7. Keeping it safe

We use reputable providers, secure connections, and access controls that limit who can see your information. No system is completely secure, so if a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we'll tell you and the relevant regulator as the law requires.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to:

Email rob@traveltoaus.com and we'll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can fix it. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. In the EU or UK, you can contact your local data protection authority, such as the Data Protection Commission in Ireland or the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK.

9. Emails and offers

We'll only send you travel ideas and offers if you've said yes. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can just tell us to stop. Messages about a booking you've made aren't marketing, so they'll still arrive.

10. Children

Our services are for adults, and you need to be 18 or over to make a booking. When a booking includes children, we only collect the details an operator needs from the adult making the booking.

11. Cookies

Our Cookie Policy explains the cookies we use and how to change your choices.

12. Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if the way we handle personal information changes, and we'll change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll make it clear on the website.
